| Conveying
the intimate nuance of a moment in time is the ultimate goal of Phillip
Philbeck's work. Whether it be the biting air of a snowy dusk, a warm wind
blowing through the streamers of a spring willow or silent puffy clouds
drifting across a summer sky, Philbeck captures each moment in its own fullness. Asked why the work of this much talked about artist is so popular and continues to grow, he responds, "My love for these quiet moments is a view shared by most. I think it is partially my duty to remind people about these things - to sort of get away from the fast pace of life and reminisce." |

| As a child, his precocity in art impressed his friends and teachers, drawing the usual cars and dinosaurs, as well as nature scenes. A class trip in elementary school to view Bob Timberlake's first book made a lasting impression on him. "I remember seeing the first image of the book - his studio. It all became crystal clear and I knew for certain that I wanted to be an artist. |
