Tony Forrest
Tony Forrest, a native of North Carolina, resides with his wife Martha in Downtown Greensboro where they are both active in the business and cultural events in the Historic Antiques and Art district of South Elm Street. They are proud owners of both The Tin Rooster and The Blue Diamond Gallery. After a successful 30 year career as a building contractor, Tony has now devoted his time to his passion for art that began with a carpenter’s pencil and a scrap piece of drywall. Tony’s ability to diversify subject matter and evoke raw emotion has propelled him into a demanding schedule filled with inspiration and opportunity. His genre ranges from realism and representational art to abstracts with a high measure of vibrant texture and design. Tony is also recognized for his distinct talent and passion for portrait painting. He is a proud member of The Portrait Institute, Portrait Society of America and the International Society of Acrylic Painters. Inspiration is cultivated while traveling with his wife Martha. They spend a great deal of time in between the rich spirit and simplistic lifestyle of San Miguel Allen de, Mexico and the joy of being active influences in the lives of their 4 talented and growing grandchildren in Louisiana.
